Blum Construction and Right Build International have been selected as the Construction Managers @ Risk by Fayetteville State University (FSU) and are seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the FSU Helen T. Chick Building Renovation in Fayetteville, NC. FSU is renovating the existing Helen T. Chick Building, which was originally constructed in 1968. Work will take place January 2025 – July 2025, to turn over space before the 2025 school year commences. This renovation will include upgrading the HVAC/BAS system and electrical/fire alarm systems, replacing the existing handrails to meet building code, modifying the existing hydraulic elevator to meet AHJ requirements and adding fire protection throughout the building. Work will also require asbestos abatement, selective demolition, doors and hardware changes and adding Men’s & Women’s restrooms on Level 1.
